Conveniently located at 512 North Main Street, Burlington, Iowa, our office is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our community. With a team of 75 dedicated employees, including 24 full-time law enforcement officers, we proudly serve both the unincorporated areas of the county and the incorporated towns of Mediapolis, Danville, and Middletown. Our comprehensive services extend beyond patrol and investigative operations. We manage the Des Moines County Correctional Center, which houses 80 inmates and is supported by a committed staff of 23 full-time Correctional Officers, transport officers, kitchen staff, and administrative personnel. We also oversee the Sex Offender Registry, handle the execution and return of legal and civil papers, issue weapons permits, and ensure the security of the Des Moines County Courthouse.
