Built in 1847, this one-story vernacular Greek Revival style timber frame dwelling features a hall and parlor plan, with an L-shaped rear extension and clapboard siding. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, the house holds a rich history as the residence of Wellington A. Clark, a prominent figure in the early development of the area. Wellington A. Clark, a native New Yorker, settled in Crown Point in the mid-19th century and built The Old Homestead with his wife, Mary C. Hackley.
