The Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is committed to developing dancers to their fullest potential. We aim to equip young dancing artists with the tools needed to succeed in the collegiate and professional dance world, both nationally and internationally. Jr. Civic Theatre, located at 3 Carter Green in Carmel, Indiana, offers a variety of classes and workshops for artists of all ages. Our youngest artists, aged 4-5, explore the performing arts through movement, imagination, and play. For older students, we offer classes in musical theatre and acting, with opportunities to progress from Foundation Level to Intermediate Level with at least two sessions of classes recommended before advancement. Admission to our programs is by audition only, with previous Jr. Civic class experience or comparable background required. Our Jr. Civic Company provides advanced students with the chance to hone their skills and expand their repertoire in a safe and supportive environment. In addition to our regular classes, we offer special programs such as Little Stages: Lucky Fin Edition for ages 4-5, Musical Theatre Mini Camp for ages 6-7, and Jr. Civic Musical Theatre Camp for ages 8-14. Our Musical Theatre Intensive is designed for students aged 10-14 looking to deepen their skills in a more focused setting.
