Welcome to the Centier Museum, located at 1899 New York Avenue, Whiting, Indiana. As a testament to Centier Bank's rich 126-year legacy, the museum offers visitors an inspiring journey through the history of Indiana’s largest private, family-owned bank. Established in 2021, the Centier Museum invites you to explore the fascinating story of the bank's founder, Henry Schrage, from his immigration to Whiting in the mid-1800s to the present day, where the fifth generation of the Schrage family continues to uphold the legacy of hometown banking. Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the museum provides an intimate glimpse into the Centier Bank family history. Discover old photos, aged artifacts, and timeless relics that chronicle the evolution of community banking. For those unable to visit in person, we offer a special virtual 3D tour that allows you to explore the museum's exhibits from the comfort of your home.
