Susie's Place Child Advocacy Center
β OpenSusie's Place Child Advocacy Center, located at 630 Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute, Indiana, is dedicated to protecting children from abuse, neglect, and sexual assault. They conduct forensic interviews of children involved in reported instances of maltreatment and provide critical support to children and families from their three locations in Avon, Bloomington, and Terre Haute. Child-on-child sexual abuse is a difficult reality that Susie's Place addresses, with about 1/3 of their cases involving individuals under the age of 18. They offer various events and trainings, such as the Sipping for Susie's Place fundraiser and the Stewards of Children training, to raise awareness and educate adults on how to respond to suspicions of abuse.
