Goodrich Park
Goodrich Park, located at 700 North Union Street in Winchester, Indiana, is a beautiful park and tourist attraction with a rich history. The land was generously donated to the city by Elizabeth Goodrich in 1915, originally a fruit orchard with its own irrigation system. The park was planned as an International Arboretum, with over 40 different types of trees planted in a method of memorials. Over the years, more acres of land have been donated, and now the Winchester Parks System within the city limits boasts a total of 97 acres with activities for all ages. American Legion Park
American Legion Park, located at 501 Winchester Street in Decatur, Indiana, is a popular tourist attraction and park. Registration for various activities, such as swimming lessons, lap swimming, and aquatics exercise programs, can be done online or in person at the Riverside Center. The park offers a preschool level 2 swimming class to help children gain confidence and independence in the water. Parents can also enjoy lap swimming while their children learn to swim. The park operates under the Decatur-Adams County Parks and Recreation Department, whose mission is to enhance leisure lifestyles and quality of life for all citizens. Please note that fees, charges, and class times are subject to change and refunds are not given after the second class meeting.
