Thanks to the tireless efforts of dedicated locals, the courthouse was saved from demolition and proudly placed on the National Register of Historical Places on May 17, 1973. The Lake Court House Foundation, Inc., established in 1975, continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining and preserving this iconic building for future generations. Governed by an 18-member board, the foundation is committed to both the restoration of the courthouse and the celebration of community events. From our annual Patriot Brunch to elegant wedding ceremonies and receptions, the Old Lake Court House serves as a vibrant hub for memorable experiences and gatherings.
