Located at 6941 Central Avenue in Portage, Indiana, our cemetery spans 42 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds adjacent to the historic McCool Cemetery. Established in 1997 by John and Laurie Evans, Heritage Cemetery was created to provide a peaceful and dignified space for honoring loved ones. As the first and only combination death care facility in Northwest Indiana, we offer a comprehensive range of services, all conveniently located at one site. Our offerings include traditional full-service burials, cremation burials, and columbariums. We take pride in our memorial garden and tranquil wooded paths, which provide a serene environment for reflection and remembrance. Additionally, we are one of the pioneers in northern Indiana to offer eco-friendly green burial options.

Blake Cemetery Nestled on the historic Concord Avenue in Portage, Indiana, Blake Cemetery offers a serene and sacred space for honoring loved ones. Established in 1843, this cemetery originated from the heart of Jacob and Eleanor Blake's family homestead, marking the resting place of their beloved infant daughter, Caroline. Her grave, situated on a picturesque hillside adorned with towering oak trees, has become a cherished landmark. These oaks have also served as a seasonal haven for a pair of migrating broad-winged hawks for the past five years, adding to the tranquil beauty of the site.
