Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown, an IHG Hotel

"I NEVER write reviews. But this time I had to share my horrible experience. I arrived to check in and after I check in, they inform me the hotel doesn’t have running water. From 3:00pm to 7:00pm…WE HAD NO WATER OR RUNNING TOILETS. My room was dirty and not cleaned. The bathroom had pubic hairs all over the sink and toilet…I was mortified. The staff was rude and dismissive. They basically said they couldn’t do anything about it. The front desk guy had the worst attitude. Then when I left at 4:30am and came back ten minutes later I was locked out of hotel. The front desk guy was in the back sleeping!!! I called multiple times and buzzed in and he never came to door. I had to wait for a customer to open the side door for me!!! Not okay. I’ll NEVER stay or book here again and I would NEVER recommend staying here. Completely garbage and terrible experience. I’m even an IHG member and this has me questioning if I should book with this company ever again. Terrible."

"There has been no running water in this establishment for the past 3 hours!!! from what I’m aware of since I woke up. They were still checking people in despite that. And when I asked how long till the water comes on they have no clue. And then there’s a lady that works the front desk, she’s pretty unprofessional and rude. There’s little to no hospitality in here attitude and how she handles situations. It was like talking to a little girl in highschool. I’m considering checking in to a different hotel at this point since my day has been ruined. I can’t really do much if i can’t shower brush my teeth and can’t flush the toilet.. she claimed that it may be back on around 7 or 8 pm but the way they are acting who even knows"

"We stayed here to go to the game. Great location. They gave us a parking pass early since check in wasn't until 3. Very friendly helpful staff. Very clean and updated. We were on the 3rd floor. Room was nice and well stocked with necessary items. Dove brand soaps. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the ice machine on our floor was broken. And there were no vending machines. We had to go all the way downstairs to the desk for a sprite. The attendant was busy so my husband just left money on the counter. All in all we will stay here again when we come for games."

"Terrible customer service. If you like waiting on hold or talking to touchtone menus this is the place for you! All of these hotels are the same. They have streamlined a system where you can’t speak to them yet they get your money. I have been a platinum member for years and they continue to prioritize corporate development and profit over customer care."

"Great location to see the Colts. The parking package was a nice add on. The parking garage was right next door. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms. The biggest thing was house keeping makes around 8 or 9 in the morning. No free complimentary breakfast. Big bummer there. Didn't use the pool or exercise room but supposedly were there."
