Adolphus Busch Mausoleum
The Adolphus Busch Mausoleum is a stunning cemetery located at 38°41'37 County Road 9, Elkhart, Indiana, United States. The institution features a variety of architectural styles, including Classic Revival, Romanesque, Gothic, and Egyptian Revival. One of the highlights of the cemetery is the Hotchkiss Chapel, designed by Eames and Young in 1909. The chapel underwent a complete renovation in 2009, preserving its original woodwork and adding a new columbarium for cremated remains. The cemetery also features Wildwood Valley, with two lakes and a columbarium surrounded by gardens. Notable mausoleums include those of George Warren Brown, Alanson Brown, and a Gothic Revival mausoleum designed by Thomas P. Barnett. Adolphus Busch, co-founder of Anheuser-Busch Brewery, is also interred in a mausoleum on the grounds.
