Vernon Transfer Terminal features extensive ground storage capabilities, accommodating up to 1 million tons of coal. Our facility is adept at receiving and unloading 105-car unit trains through the Evansville Western Railway (EVWR), which offers direct connections to major Class I railroads including CSX, Norfolk Southern, and BNSF. This connectivity allows for flexible transportation options, whether transferring coal to ground storage or directly loading onto barges for further distribution.
