"This is home-cooking @ it's best. One of the specials today was the volcano pot roast which I had because it's one of my favorites. The roast beef is tender & plentiful with gravy over mashed potatoes & on a piece of white bread with onion straws on top. Somehow that piece of white bread tastes so good with soaked up gravy & reminds me of my youth. Seasoned green beans with onion bits & bacon round out the perfect meal. I had the leftovers for supper & it's great reheated, too. Harlan Cafe has great skillet breakfasts, sampler, & pancakes & several different waffles done to perfection. Never had a bad meal here!"
"If you have a group of six or more they will charge you gratuity which is fine. But they charged us that because we had 4 adults and 2 babies under 1!! Then the bill was split 3 different ways and we all left over a 20% tip on each bill. Which is NOT okay. Our waitress made out with over 30$ off of our tip."
"They set us at a dirty table. Food all over the floor. Ordered the spicy chicken strips basket with fries and coleslaw, coleslaw was The only thing Worth eating, the chicken strips were cold and so was the fries and would not come back to refill coffees. Husband got 3-piece fish dinner with fries and coleslaw and his food was cold also then they charged us over $30 for that. Couldn't complain because the manager was sitting with the Amish, and the waitress was overworked."
"AMAZING FOOD!! Great atmosphere friendly staff, good prices. We ate here 3 out of 5 days we were in town. Anything on the menu is delicious you cant make a bad choice. Will most definitely return when I'm back in town and would recommend it to anyone."
"Their BLT is delicious. My mama and I rarely get anything other than their BLT, although the other food we've gotten there is also delicious. We ask for the bacon on the BLT to be deep fried extra extra crispy which makes it even better to us."
