Montgomery Park, located at 301 North River Street in Montgomery, Illinois, is part of the Fox Valley Park District which maintains 171 parks with a variety of amenities. The park features trails, neighborhood and community parks that are open from sunrise to one hour past sunset. With 25 lakes, 63 park shelters, and over 2,500 acres of open space, Montgomery Park offers a range of recreational opportunities for visitors. Park amenities include playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, ball fields, and soccer fields. Visitors can enjoy fishing in the park, but must abide by state game laws and possess a valid Illinois Fishing License. Dogs must be leashed, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park system. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on nature trails, and certain activities such as hunting and mistreatment of animals are strictly prohibited.
