"UPDATE: I did contact the number in the reply to my comment yesterday and nobody has returned my call. Further proving to me that this location doesn’t care about patient experiences. I came in sicker than I have been in a long time. I checked online and the hours stated that they closed at 8. Drove 35 minutes and arrived 90 minutes before closing and was turned away. I was told to go to the ER where I proceeded to wait close to 7 hours to be told I had the flu. That is something that could have been dealt with at urgent care. The first chance I get, I’m leaving the Loyola system. There is NO excuse to turn patients away, EVER."

"Would not provide care despite being 90 minutes before they closed. Was told to drive all the way back from where we came to go to the emergency room. Doesn't seem like very effective care, making people drive back and forth when you should be open. Is this a cost cutting measure? Why are you risking people's lives like this, Loyola?"

"Website states urgent care patients will be received up to 2:45 when closing at 3 o’clock. That is not true. They stopped taking patients today at 2:30. I came in requiring stitches and was refused service. This is not a restaurant a bookstore, a clothing store or the like. This is unacceptable Service, or I should say lack of service. I would like to know who authorized them to shut down 30 mins prior to their outdoor signage, 15 mins prior to website, and is hospital management aware? I assume so, as everything seems to be about profit not about patient care or the oath they take, or the motto Loyola supposedly lives by. Maybe you should read it."

"UPDATE: The day after my original post and one star review, I returned to Immediate Care but much earlier to try again. They opened at 8am and I arrived there at 8:30am. I was seen a little after 10:00am. The doctor and staff were very kind and understanding and I don't hold a grudge against them. I am however disappointed that this understaffed facility calls itself "Immediate Care." In that, I did get medical attention on my second visit but waited 90 minutes to receive it, I changed my rating from one star to two star. While I was waiting, I could hear the receptionist telling people that there was a 2-1/2 to 3 hour wait. I felt sorry for the receptionist having to tell this to people knowing she would take the brunt of their angst. I am grateful that Loyola does a lot of things very well but as a patient who was not feeling well, I was a bit frustrated. ORIGINAL POST Today's Immediate Care hours at Burr Ridge were supposed to be 8am to 3pm. Sadly, I arrived at 12:30 pm and was turned away. My guess is that Loyola is becoming severely understaffed. Today, "Immediate Care" was not an appropriate name for this Loyola facility from my viewpoint."

"I stopped in today at about 4:40pm with my sick daughter who was in a lot of pain. We signed in and sat down when the guy working said “they arent accepting anyone else right now because there is a lot of emergencies in the back. I dont know its up to you if you want to try again later or tomorrow.” I thought it was strange that they would refuse medical attention to someone without even asking what they were there for. Im not sure how one could determine that my child wasnt in an emergency situation like the people in the back if he did not even ask what was going on. Based on reviews its clear they just decide when to stop seeing people. Which I guess wouldn’t be a problem if it was listed somewhere! Their website, the front door SOMEWHERE! Stop letting people come here to waste their time. The plus side of this place refusing my child medial attention was we found another local urgent care who seen her and treated her within less than an hour and a half!"
