Dr. Edward Gong is an attending urologist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, located at 1870 Silver Cross Boulevard in New Lenox, Illinois. He is also an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Gong specializes in minimally invasive urologic procedures such as robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic surgeries. His primary goal is to provide parents with the information they need to make informed decisions about their child's care, and he values building therapeutic relationships with his patients and their families. Dr. Gong completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children's Hospital Boston. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind pathologic bladder degeneration and developing therapies to prevent loss of bladder function in children with conditions such as posterior urethral valves or neurogenic bladder.
