"I had a horrific experience with Steve Lewit, SGL Financial. My husband and I purchased IRA annuities in 2011 for retirement income. Unfortunately, my husband passed away, and I found out that  upon his death the income rider was terminated. As it turned out, Steve made a mistake when filling out our paperwork, but refused to take the responsibility. He started with apologies and ended up with lies and insults Not exactly a fiduciary, but a rather  a cheap salesman with no conscience. ---- response ‐----- Steve, stop lying. You claim you offered 'better than before' solution. Send it for my review, and I will admit that such a solution was provided. Until then, keep you misinformation to yourself. PS: Steve, I am a savvy investor, and luckily, my income can survive your screw up.  That may not be the case for everybody, and I shared my experience as a cautionary tale for future customers. There are good, honest, and competent people out there, even among annuity brokers. You are just not one of them."

"My wife and I had 6 financial advisors over 15 years, all of which offered only their company’s products for investment. In 2013, on a whim and with some skepticism, we attended a Steve Lewit dinner/seminar. Until that seminar, we had never heard the term “fiduciary”, much less know its meaning.
