"Had ultrasound to have lymph node mapping(should be entire review of ALL nodes in neck), as well as thyroid. Technician scanned and measured my thyroid as well as carefully measuring all my nodes levels 1-6. However, radiologist completely omitted any info/comment in her report about the level nodes my Dr was watching, only mentioned levels 3 & 4 out of all 6. Needless to say, I saw that my level 2 nodes were measuring larger when looking at my CD of the scan and asked another health system to look at my CD of the ultrasound...their radiology team was able to see there had been more growth in nodes I was concerned about(over 2cm now, so needs a radiologist that pays attention!). This is not the 1st time I've caught the radiologists missing things in scans at the DeKalb location, they are definitely NOT detail oriented and can often skip over things. Patients shouldn't have to take scans to other health systems to get them read correctly. Very incompetent as far as radiology goes here, I think I'll just do my scans elsewhere from now on. Also, radiologists should look at the shape of the hilum, not just the shape of the node. "rat bites" in node hilum can possibly mean pathology, shouldn't your radiologists know this?"
