"Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my german shepherd Rizzo. I cannot help but get upset when he is sick but I try my best. Rizzo is getting older and due to his breed genetics he has arthritis in his front legs and he had a hard time getting up and running around. Rusty Ridge was recommended to me due to Dr. Joe and his knowledge in cutting edge surgery to help dogs with this issue. I meet with Dr. Joe and he took a lot of time explaining to me about Stem Cell surgery and how the success rate has helped many dogs with arthritis be able to move around and become themselves again. I even talked to Micayla as well because this is my baby, this is my dog and I wanted more information and rusty ridge understood and provided me with the info. Still I said I would think about it and said to myself I'll do this procedure in 2024. However, two months ago Rizzo got worst and I called them up and said how he couldnt walk well and had a hard time getting up. They told me to bring him right in and Dr. Joe took the time to see Rizzo and tell me basically he is fine and it is in my head, but he still does have arthritis and prescribe pain meds. No mention of the stem cell surgery from him or his staff just a normal appt. to calm my mind and take care of my boy. I decided to do the surgery in September. One of the person in charge was Kaitlin and she took her time explaining everything again (this would be the 5th time they talked to me about this procedure, never once being impatient with me). Even the discharge instructions I wrote everything down and triple checked it with Kaitlin and she acted like she had all the time in the world to talk to me. After the surgery my 8 year old german is running around my backyard, catching his frisbee and able to get up and down with no issues.
