"I've been living here for a little over a year and a half at this point and I'll share my experience here. The rooms are nice and the amenities included are nothing to complain over. The bad: -The A/C and heater units and other appliances are maybe a bit dated, but hey they still work just fine. I know that they are midst of trying to renovate as well. -It's right in the middle of downtown, and sometimes that means that there can be quite a bit of ambulances/squad cars/fire trucks coming through. The sirens can be a bit annoying. If not that, then there are definitely people that drive their cars loudly. Can't blame the staff, but I do think it's worth mentioning. -Bit pricier than other options in the area. The good: -Great location. Food trucks here in the summer. Right on the river. Downtown has some really sweet views of chapel tops that have a great atmospheric look to them. River view as well. -I won't say that everything is perfect but I definitely "feel" that the staff puts in the work to get stuff done when it isn't right. Chill and easily ready to work with people. -The neighbors that I've met have been relatively considerate and nice. I haven't found that I've hated or had any serious issue with another neighbor being loud or problematic. -Amenities. Pool. Little dock for boats is cool. Washers and dryers. Elevators are nice. Some workout machines. Vending machines. -When I showed my friends where I lived they thought it was a sweet place to live. Overall, yeah it might be a bit pricier than other options. But, in my experience, trying to find good housing in Rockford is a bit of a gamble. When I went with something cheaper beforehand it was truly horrible. This is definitely a "safe" pick I'd say. Would recommend."
