Despite not being an incorporated municipality, Barber's Corners has served the needs of the community long before Bolingbrook was established in 1965. Recently refurbished and redesigned, the Barber's Corners landmark now stands on a 5-foot tall post, making it more visible to pedestrians and passersby. The restoration was a collaborative effort between the Bolingbrook Historic Preservation Commission, Bolingbrook's Public Works Department, and First Midwest Bank. The bank funded the renovation cost of $160 to ensure that this important piece of history remains a visible part of the community.
