The HOPE Center, located at 305 South Cherry Street in Galesburg, Illinois, is a university institution that serves as a home for Intercultural Life and the Office of Spiritual Life on the Knox College campus. Opened in April, the HOPE Center aims to create an inclusive campus community where students of all social identities feel welcome, affirmed, and supported. The Center provides a space for students to study, hold meetings, events, chat with staff, and relax throughout the day. With open, flexible spaces for worship, prayer, meditation, and reflection, the HOPE Center fosters a sense of community and belonging for all members of the Knox community. The building, previously a church, was purchased and renovated thanks to the generosity of donors and now serves as a multi-faith, inclusive space for various activities and gatherings. The HOPE Center is a symbol of unity, diversity, and equity at Knox College, reinforcing the importance of celebrating and embracing differences within the community.
