Art showcases in Tinley Park, Illinois

Blackbird Academy of Irish Dance, located at 17054 Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park, Illinois, has been a beacon of Irish dance instruction in the south suburbs of Chicago since 1995. Under the direction of Eileen O'Neill TCRG, Mary McQuillan, and Stephanie (Hughes) Gallagher, along with special guest instructor and former World Champion Michael Holland TCRG, the academy offers a fun and competitive environment for both boys and girls to learn and excel in the art of Irish dance. In addition to regular classes, Blackbird Academy participates in various performances and competitions, including Gaelic Park's Ireland on Parade, Irish Fest on Memorial Day weekend, and the annual Tinley Park St. Patrick's Day Parade. The academy also competes in local feiseanna as well as prestigious events such as the Mid-America Oireachtas, North American Championships, All Ireland Championships, and World Championships, where they have achieved great success in winning trophies and medals.
