"If the goal is to have someone come into your home and use a steam-cleaner in order to maintain your carpet warranty, this is a cost effective option. They probably did 900 sq ft incl. steps for $200 with no extra upfront visit/cost to provide an estimate. However, if you actually want stains removed, I'd go elsewhere. After completed, trouble areas in front of the couch were largely unimproved. I was told it was just because the carpet had been worn down (even though a true high traffic area like the steps did not have this issue.) After the technician left, I proceeded to dry the still visibly dirty area with multiple white towels and they became filthy. I don't know if it was the suction of the vacuum, poor cleaning supplies, or the training of the technician, but there was clearly substantial amounts of dirt that could have been removed still in the carpet."
