Field Building
β ClosedThe Field Building, located at 135 South La Salle Street in Chicago, Illinois, is a historic art deco office building designated as a Chicago Landmark. Completed in 1934, this 45-story skyscraper was one of the last major office buildings constructed in Chicago before the Great Depression and World War II. Designed by the firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, the building features innovative design elements such as high-speed elevators and air conditioning. The building's lobby includes a multi-level arcade allowing pedestrians to walk between LaSalle and Clark Streets, as well as integrated design elements that mirror the building's exterior shape. The exterior of the building is clad in polished black granite on the first floor, with windows framed in polished aluminum or monel metal.
