The Family Resource and Training Center, located at 2005 Ironwood Parkway in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a comprehensive institution dedicated to supporting foster children, foster families, and the child welfare workforce in Idaho. Fostering Idaho Training provides essential pre-service and ongoing trainings for individuals seeking to obtain and maintain their foster care license. The Independent Living Program assists teens and young adults transitioning out of the foster care system, equipping them with the necessary skills for independent living. The Recruitment Peer Mentor structure engages experienced foster/adopt/kinship families to assist prospective foster parents through the application process. Idaho Wednesday’s Child is a specialized recruitment program aimed at reducing the number of young people who age out of foster care.
