Mineral Ridge Scenic Area is a popular tourist attraction located at 9200 Idaho 97 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, United States. The highlight of the area is the 3.3-mile Mineral Ridge Trail, offering stunning views of Beauty and Wolf Lodge bays of Coeur d’Alene Lake. The trail features informative signage and is maintained by the Bureau of Land Management, making it a great spot for nature enthusiasts. Established in 1962, the trail was the BLM's first developed recreation site in Idaho and was designated as a National Recreation Trail in 1982. Visitors can learn about the local flora, fauna, and forest ecosystem through 22 marked stations along the trail.
Higgens Point
Higgens Point is a popular tourist attraction located at the North Idaho Centennial Trail in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, United States. Walkers, hikers, and cyclists of all ages enjoy the 5.7 miles of non-motorized fun along the paved parkway that runs along the north shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene. The parkway is part of the North Idaho Centennial Trail, a 24-mile multi-use recreational trail system that extends into Washington state. Higgens Point offers a boat launch facility, group picnic area, exercise course, picnic tables, restroom facilities, and benches with beautiful views of the lake and Veterans Memorial Bridge. Class 1 and 2 E-Bikes are allowed on the parkway. During the winter, visitors can watch Bald Eagles during their southern migration. The park is open from 7 am to 10 pm, and is proud to be a part of the Millennium Legacy trail system.
