The UI Sheep Center, located at 950 Farm Road in Moscow, Idaho, is a school institution dedicated to providing hands-on experience and support for students in the animal and veterinary science curriculum. The center offers facilities and staff for research, teaching, and outreach programs to benefit the sheep industry in Idaho. Students have the opportunity to learn about sheep handling, lambing, shearing, breeding, feeding, vaccinating, and marketing. The center houses a breeding ewe flock of approximately 200 Suffolks, Targhees, and Polypas on 126 acres of land. Facilities include a lambing barn, intensive-care barn, nine paddocks, and a residence for the farm manager. Additionally, Washington State University veterinary students also train at the center.
