“We had a beautiful meal at the Millhouse on Wednesday, the food was beautifully presented which was Salmon Omelette with a salad and chips. It wasn’t only the presentation of the food that was lovely, the staff were brilliant too. My friend and I had two assistant dogs, one in training. Normally , when we go out for a meal together we are placed near a cold door or somewhere inconvenient to us as a customer. However, this wasn’t the case at the Millhouse. We were shown to a table by the window and the staff could not have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.”

“Terrific taste of Spain in a Northern town. Very faithful looking establishment, lots or care and attention to detail here, it really is excellent! Thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful staff, ten out of ten to the chefs though. Prawns perfect, flavoursome and zesty carrot salad was great, amazing patatas bravas and chickpea sides, very decent steak but the star for me was the lamb shish and hummus. Wow. Desserts looked great but I was too full! Some great wines on the menu and very well done cocktails - I can recommend the Old Fashioned, one of the best I've ever had, and the tasty Negroni, also terrific. Lovely friendly environment to eat dinner in too, I'm totally sold. Everyone should try this place!”

“Very interesting and definitely very different from other places. Highly recommended for cozy stop for some drinks. Many doors, many tiny little rooms and they are very cozy to seat in with the fire lit in. Like all those good old village little inns. Highly recommend for visiting and have a drink or to.”

“They had originally mislaid our reservation but without fuss they found us a table, thank you. The food was well cooked although the beef was a little tough my friends said that both Turkey and Gammon were perfect as were the vegetables. All in all a nice visit and we will certainly return again in the future.”

“Such a quaint little place, food was great and the staff were so pleasant. The bonus is that it is dog friendly! Our little pooch was a bit cheeky and sat on the seats! Staff offered water for him and were always on hand to help. They accommodated an awkward request of mine to take home a pudding and even told me the cooking instructions! We had the Texan Burger, Hawaiian Pizza, some Battered Onion Rings (and the take away Chocolate Orange Torte) and all was spot on perfect. Definitely recommend.”

“Popped in for a bite to eat with the family. The kids had a Margarita Pizza which they devoured. I went for a Rump Steak which was delicious, and my wife had a Burger. In all a very pleasant meal and to be honest it exceeded my expectations.”

“In my opinion, probably the best public house in Beverley. Only went in for a drink on two separate occasions on the same day and saw it at its quietest and its near busiest. During lunchtime, the food looked so good, that im taking my wife there . Nice people on both sides of the bar.”

“Friendly and informative staff on arrival. Lovely clean room comfy bed clean linen and towels. Good price included a lovely breakfast would happily stay again and would also be happy to reccomend the Windmill to friends and family.”

“Not been in The Sloop for years, popped in before going to a friends house warming. To my surprise the place was packed out with regulars, a football team, a rugby team & more. The atmosphere was excellent everyone well behaved & enjoying their day. I've awarded 5 stars because despite it been extremely busy the bar staff were amazing, didn't take more than a few minutes to get served, I don't know how they managed to collect enough glasses & wash them as well.”

“Decided to eat out at Warton Arms tonight, and was very pleasantly impressed. My wife and I have eaten here before, but our experience tonight was brilliant. We chose two mains, one of which was the Thursday Steak Special, and both were excellent. On arrival we found a nice table (27) in a comfortably warm corner. The lady on the bar took my order quickly and efficiently the food arrived quickly, well portioned, piping hot. The steak was cooked to perfection, as was my wife's Hunters Chicken. Once we had finished, (both had empty plates) these were cleared and we were offered desserts which we decided to have, again both were excellent in size and taste. In all we had a great experience, we were looked after well, the food met all our expectations, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. A very pleasant evening, and we intend to return very soon. Thanks to Emma and her staff for a sterling job.”

“Large premises with parking to the front and outdoor seating too. I liked the decor. Pretty big and spacious inside. Extensive menu with vegan and vegetarian options available. When I visited, there were two handpulled cask beers on - Marston's Pedigree Amber Ale and the gorgeous Wychwood Brewery's Hobgoblin Gold. Very yum! There were two other pumps not yet in action: the Potting Shed Amber Ale and Timothy Taylor's Boltmaker. It is table service so the very hardworking staff come to you to take your food orders. There is a generous lunch deal available Mondays to Fridays 12 til 4, which is worth knowing about: £5 off certain lunch choices when bought with any drink. I hadn't seen the offer when I paid for my first drink, so I was left with the onerous hardship of having to order a second drop of Hobgoblin, eeee, tis a hard life. I ordered a portion of chips (extremely yummy good chips!) for £1.50 to go with my grilled halloumi wrap at £9.95, but £5 off was a good deal. The plate was very prompt in arriving indeed and the food tasted great and was filling. Staff were all efficient, busy and welcoming to boot. I would definitely visit again and recommend. (The only negative to mar the experience - and nothing to do with the Potting Shed itself, were the two horrendous, screeching, skriking brats two tables away who were running uncontrollably everywhere and coming right into my personal space while I was trying to read and dine. Mother and two accompanying females had no control or care over the two either. Gross!) Potting Shed and it's deserving staff get 5 stars, incompetent, lazy parent gets a slap in the face with a wet kipper, thanks Red Dwarf, lolol.”

“The Sunday roast dinner here was out of this world, I can highly recommend this pub. On a lovely Sunny day like today their beer garden is a really nice place to sit. It’s a dog friendly pub too. The village of Bishop Burton is a very picturesque place with two village ponds. Will definitely be back here again in the future. 10/10 quality food, great service, nice location.”

“Efficienct check in, friendly staff and very welcoming. Room spotless, excellent service when extra milk was requested. Cleaners very friendly and a lovely stay at Innkeepers Lodge. The only downside was the lumpy pillows.”
