The Still
● Closed30 Argyle Street, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia“Amazing bar recommended to us by the people at Lark Distillery (as Lark only do whisky tastings). Felt like 50 pages of whiskeys just from Tasmania which was incredible. Had a flight of 3x 15ml Lark whiskeys for $45 which is pricey but normal for Tassie tastings and tried some other whiskeys too. The ambience and super broad selection of whiskeys were the highlight. Other drinks like beer and G&Ts are available too. Would recommend and revisit.”

The Henry Jones Art Hotel
● Open25 Hunter Street, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia“Great location, right by the harbour and super close to lots of restaurants and Salamanca. Excellent staff. Oh and the breakfast is delicious, especially the hot food selection. We were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room by Callum, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel gym is great, and the wifi signal is very reliable throughout the hotel. In fact, the entire hotel is very nicely decorated and our room was very spacious, with a rain shower and a spa bath. Free parking outside the hotel is a bonus.”

The Winston
● Closed381 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart TAS 7000, Australia“Had heard good things about the meals here and I'm happy yo say the reports were true. Picked a spot out and sat down to select what to eat. I had decided to try the the Baltimore Philly Steak Sandwiche which came with a decent portion of fries. I'd also ordered some Mac & Cheese sticks and opted to wash them down with one of their pale ales. That Steak Philly Sandwiche was absolutely delicious and highly recommend it. The Mac & Cheese sticks were also very tasty. The whole lot came to about $30 which was very good value. The staff were very friendly and never seemed to stop working, always running around looking after their customers...so good to see. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. Do yourself a favour, if you haven't been then you should.”

New Sydney Hotel
● Closed87 Bathurst Street, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia“Ordered 2 chicken parmigianas which comes with chips and we added a side salad. Really nice crunch and melted top. The chips were excellently salted and coated with a nice crisp. The salad balanced the fried elements of the meal (good addition of radiochi) Great portion sizes. Warm interior with a wood burning fire. The layout of the pub is a bit confusing so wasn't sure how to go about getting a seat / placing a order. Very busy on a Wednesday evening with their pub quiz, we didn't book a table but very luckily found a free table for two. Would suggest making a reservation, there was many reserved tables when we got there at about 8pm for dinner. They serve full pints!!!”
