Specializing in health services for children between the ages of 3-8 years old, Play Therapy Maui offers a form of therapy that doesn't rely on talking, but rather on the natural form of expression - play. Led by Skye Horie, a licensed marriage and family therapist and registered play therapist, the institution provides a safe and empowering environment for children to heal from trauma, grief, abandonment, and other therapeutic issues. Using toys, art, sandplay, and other therapeutic mediums, Play Therapy Maui helps children process difficult experiences and feelings, allowing them to feel better about themselves and positively about their future. By engaging in play, children are able to work through and make meaning of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, without the pressure of using words to express themselves.

The Maui Family Guidance Center is a mental health institution located at 270 Waiehu Beach Road in Wailuku, Hawaii. Our main office offers a beautiful view of the West Maui Mountains and the ocean, providing a calming environment for both staff and clients. With a team of fourteen dedicated employees, we strive to provide quality mental health services to our community.
