"PERFECT place to stay if you’re PCSing in/out with kids and dogs. We had a 2 bedroom suite in a separate building and it was wonderful for our long term stay. We originally stayed in Waikiki when we moved to the island but it was very crowded, parking was difficult and there was only a small kitchenette. These rooms are wonderful, 2 stories, 2 bedrooms, fenced in yard for pets, private laundry room in each unit, full kitchen and lots of space. It’s also close to 2 parks and the waterfront trail on Hickam. If you’re moving on or off the island and need somewhere to stay this is definitely the best bang for your buck!"

"The Fam and I really enjoyed our stay at Royal Alakai. It was spacious and the staff was really nice! We had 2 bedrooms so the kids could have their own room and twin beds and the hubby and I had our own room. I loved having a washer and dryer and the rooms are being updated!"

"Although we couldn't get a room, the staff was still very accommodating. After we got kicked out of the AMC Passenger Terminal at 10 p.m. and as we left, it started to rain. A nice Air Guard Technician picked us up and gave us a ride to the Navy Gateway. The ladies behind the counter were sympathetic towards our plight and let us hang out in their lobby until our Roll Call. They even offered us hot coffee. Much appreciated ladies! Thanks and the next time we're in Hawaii we hope you will have a room available for us as we would love to stay and appreciate your hospitality more."

"Staff is great! Rooms haven't been updated since they were built decades ago, wifi works for messenger and that's about it. Doors open way too easily for being "family friendly", my one year old opened it with no issue (no top locks). Addressed this issue to staff but management brushed it off. We bought a door chime at BX to help alert us when kids started opening door. Got a way nicer place with full kitchen out in town for a little cheaper and they had proper door locks."
