Dogs are not allowed in the park, but they can be leashed on the trail. The area is known for its lemon eucalyptus trees, Norfolk Island pine trees, and native koa and ohi’a trees. The name Keaīwa means mysterious or incomprehensible, reflecting the healing powers of the kahuna and the herbs used in healing.
