Pūpūkea-Paumalū Forest Reserve
Pūpūkea-Paumalū Forest Reserve is a 782-acre public park located in Haleiwa, Hawaii, United States. Established in 1910, the reserve aims to conserve and protect the remaining forest and increase the local water supply. While non-native forest dominates the vegetation, some native forest and shrublands can still be found in the southeast portion of the reserve. Public access is available via Pūpūkea Road, with the Kaunala trail being the only trail within the reserve. Managed by Nā Ala Hele, the 2.5-mile trail is restricted to hikers and mountain bikers on weekends and holidays.
