Tybrisa At the Beach

"The views of the beach are great. The close walk to the beach, and town, and pier, and restaurants is great. The rooms however, need upgrading BADLY. They are very outdated, and very worn. I have stayed here more than once and my mentioning that their units need upgrading seems to fall on deaf ears."

"Tybrisa is a jewel on the Georgia coast, and if we all pitch in, we can keep it that way. With the privilege of staying at Tybrisa, we all have shared responsibilities, one of which is to keep on eye on the costs. In response to the person who said they keep the sliding doors wide open to listen to the activities on the pier: please remember that leaving the doors open to let in the sound also lets in heat, humidity and insects. Running air conditioning is not cheap, and we can all help control costs by keeping the doors closed unless we are passing through them. Once the condo becomes saturated with heat and humidity, it takes a long time for the rooms to return to the comfort zone. The AC is running full blast during that time, and the dial on the electric meter is spinning just as fast as it can. Enjoy your stay, but please use the facilities wisely!"

"My family has been staying at Tybrisa since it was built in the 80s during week 27. My family has 3 units for week 27. I hadn’t been in 5 years but happened to be off for a couple days this year so I went. I was so disappointed and it made me sad to see the horrible condition that Tybrisa is in now. Not sure what the maintenance fees are going to but they’re definitely not going to maintaining the units. See the pictures I will attach. The beach is nasty with so much trash. The lady at the front desk was very nice when we checked in on Saturday. Unfortunately I would never purchase a unit here. We have so many family memories here, but poor management has run it in the ground it seems. WiFi doesn’t work most of the time. The fridge is one of those old white fridges and it had a fishy odor. Unit 212 had a moldy/mildew smell. Scared to sit on the dirty furniture as there were stains everywhere."

"Wow!! What an amazing week we had at The Tybrisa Beach Resort! Incredible Ocean Views with Stunning Sunrises. We also enjoyed lounging by the Pool! The true treasure is the amazing employees at Tybrisa. Everyone from the front desk, maintenance and cleaning team were courteous, friendly and kind. All wanting to make sure we had a fabulous vacation! We will be back!! Thank you Tybrisa!!"

"Nice distance to beach, right in walking distance to downtown Tybee. Beach is wonderful. Pool there is nice. Actual rooms and amenities are dated and on bad repair. Wish our place had been a little cleaner. This is why I gave it a three. Some light bulbs missing too. People who work there are friendly and hospitable, though."
