"My mother was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and a UTI infection. The hospital staff was so expeditious in getting her on anabiotic’s and comfortable in her room. The nurses and technicians have all been very kind and patient with her. She has gotten very good care at this facility."

"My wife was admitted for an eye injury. Dr. Myers treated her and did an excellent job! She was very kind and compassionate and took a lot of time with her. She even researched and found the names of local opthamologists for her as we have just moved here. We were very impressed with the quality of care from Dr. Myers! The receptionist and Rhonda, our nurse, were exceptional as well! Such a warm welcome to Hiawassee for us!"

"My brother John has dementia. We had an issue that took us to the ER the evening of 9/23/23. He was seen by Dr. Jarred who treated BOTH of us fantastic!! He was very kind to John and very comforting to me. He talked with me privately about 5 times having suggestions and asking questions in reference to John. He even addressed the obvious state of fatigue I was in, how truly wonderful! Who ever cares about the family/caregiver? Dr. Jarred for one! EVERYbody in the ER was fantastic too. The young lady up front, the nurses, lab and x-ray techs and then the staff after John was admitted. Rehab would not evaluate John on Sunday because they don't take his insurance So he was sent home. Sunday evening he fell and hit his head. I had already taken prescription night meds so for the 2nd night in a row EMT's had to transport him. Dr. Jamison and the ER staff took very good care of John until I was able to come get him today. Yes, it is indeed a small ER but the staff is big on compassion! Let me add that the # 1 reason for having John brought to Chatuge was hopes that he would be able to go into rehab and then the nursing home. Sadly, that did not work out."

"Stopped into the ER today after a pretty bad cat bite. I was told to sit and someone would be with me. I walked out after not seeing one soul for 45 minutes. Do not waste your time at this non emergency room!!!!!!"

"Terrible. I went to this hospital on 5/20/23. When I walked in the door the lady at the desk was very confused. Then I was taken back and when we walked to the back the whole emergency room smelled like feces. I was seen by Dr. Ward and he was a jerk. No bedside manar at all. While I was waiting for my blood work results the lady from up front came to the back to finish my chart and she was rude. I told her I had no insurance and no money to pay and she told me that if I ever have to come back to the hospital they will refuse me service because I can not pay. Folks avoid this emergency room at all cost. I felt like I was a burden The only bright spot was the lady from the lab who drew my blood for the test. She was very nice and had a great bedside manner. This hospital needs new management, new staff and new doctors. I have a bachelor's degree in Allied Health management and am a certified medical assistant so the way I was treated was not acceptable."
