The Columbia County Visitors Center, located at 3300 Evans to Locks Road in Martinez, Georgia, is a travel agency offering information on local attractions and events. Visitors can relax on the front porch overlooking the historic Augusta Canal and Savannah River. The building, known as the Lockkeepers Cottage, dates back to around 1890 and was once the home of the lockkeeper who operated the nearby locks. The Visitors Center is situated inside Savannah Rapids Park, just a short distance from the event pavilion and the historic Augusta Canal.
