"It’s a rough trail. Best to go when it’s dry. There are some nice spots, but there’s also a lot of webs that make traversing annoying at times. You’ll have to park on the side of the road. There’s a giant tree that blocks a part of the path and I headed back when I saw the witness posts. It’s not the worst I’ve been to, but also not the best. No seating anywhere, concerns about parasites lurking around, it’s not one I recommend. I’d say bring lots of bug spray and tread carefully."
"I think k this trail might be closing soon, but it's a great little walk. If you live in the neighborhood this is a gem to be treasured. You can hear construction noises near the entrance, but once you get further in they begin to disappear. I do believe it is supposed to connect to Sweet Water and the creek is a tributary to it."
"These trails can be reached through sweetwater creek state park. Theres a bridge at the furthest point from the visitors center on the white blaze trail. From that point I believe you can enter this trail system. Better done in the winter and spring as they aren’t maintained anymore it seems. Great hike!"
"Just a word of warning that these are not your typical walking trails that you would go down for a nice weekend Excursion. This is something where you will need to bring a machete and a lot of bug spray, as the trails are not in the best of conditions and Wildlife and animal life has taken over."
"I heard there was a fence, but I didn't see it the way that I went in. There were no signs that said no trespassing the way that I went in. Everything is way overgrown and infested with chiggers as of today. This is especially true if you're not on the better cut parts of the main trail. Bring a machete, plenty of bug spray, and wear clothing that covers you very well or just don't go. (Seriously.) The bugs and spider webs might be more bearable during the winter or during/after heavy weather. There are several trails that will show up on open street map for the state of Georgia. Use earthmate or some other GPS app to download and use that map. It's really neat and useful for hiking. Happy trails y'all."
