"For years me and my family have been seeing Dr. Schwartz, and he was our trusted family Doctor who got us the best diagnosis. The Office was located in Stone Mountain village until it moved to this new location. He was there for a short time before his retirement. This new management however, is far from what we had before and I don't mean that in a positive way. During the Pandemic in 2020, I decided to have a checkup. It was a stressful year and this new Doctor saw my Blood Pressure was a little high. So she decided to put me on Medication. This went on for the NEXT TWO YEARS. And I had to see her every three months. I decided to make healthier changes to my diet as the result, but the constant visits and medication didn't stop. Things really crossed the line when I had to do two blood tests in a row and I was diagnosed as Borderline Anemic. I was eventually sent to a Cancer place, where they saw NOTHING WAS WRONG. I never wanted to go there in the first place and the situation already had me stressed out. So SOMEONE had to have messed up, but I'm not naming names. I'm not coming back. If anything dealing with this new Doctor probably raised my Blood Pressure higher than before. Good riddance."

"I'm heartbroken and saddened by my exchange between myself and a woman in the front office. I've been with the same Dr.'s office for close to 18 years and they have cared for me ever since. Generally, everyone at the clinic is super friendly and warm but this particular person, on this day was nothing but rude, lacked empathy and down talked me. I have high blood pressure and needed to have a prescription refilled before traveling. I have been on the same medication for several years, had no adverse effects, went to Dr.'s appt every 3 mos., bp 110/80 etc. I was not aware that they denied my refill request sent in May. I still had a weeks + worth of meds before I inquired directly with my Dr.'s office. I was made aware that due to me missing an appt in February, the recent refill request had been denied. I never received a call from the pharmacy nor the Dr.'s office I explained my dilemma (traveling abroad without blood pressure meds) and asked when I could be seen in order to get my refill approved. The next available appt. would be in a few weeks. I took the appt. but asked if I could get an emergency refill to get me through my trip and back for the next scheduled available appt., offered. The woman said that she would see if the Dr. could do a partial refill. I was happy with that and waited a few days. I called the Dr.'s office to see if the request had been submitted. The woman whom I spoke to this morning explained, we have not seen you since Nov., you missed February and the Dr. will not refill until you are seen. I understood what she was saying but reiterated that I had an upcoming appt at their office and that I desperately needed the meds while traveling. It seemed simple to me but it caused her to become agitated and snappy because she was having to repeat herself. I guess you can say that I was in shock that my Dr. office wouldn't work with me in order not to have a lapse in meds. I repeated myself, asking the same question, hoping maybe she hadn't fully understood my dilemma. Again, I understand their legal standpoint and that they need to protect themselves from malpractice. I understand that this is their way of monitoring meds and adjusting, if need be. These meds are to keep me from stroking out, not to abuse or sell etc. The woman implied, "I don't know how you got the last meds because we would not have approved". They were prescribed in January by the same Dr.'s office. As we continued to go back and forth, I asked what should I do? I was told to go to the emergency room or urgent care. I was beside myself and once I got settled, cried. Not out of anger but purely because I realized just how insignificant my health was in this situation. Thankfully, I work at a medical facility and was able to get some guidance on what I should do/where to go. Some empathy, compassion and understanding. It's really eye opening when the very people who prescribe you these medicines, knowing how important it is to your health, can not and will not work with you. I felt like I would be putting my health at risk traveling without the meds. I will be finding a new Dr.'s office within the next few weeks!"
