"Owners are cool place is quiet most of the time, neighbors are nice too except for the "karen" in the back with the silver car with a dent in the front, clean bathrooms and nice bar"
"I’ve been here for a couple weeks and it is really been very relaxing. I’ve got really nice neighbors around me. This is my first time actually owning an RV and they have been so helpful. I’m still working on getting myself set up. They have a lake that you can fish or swim in. There’s a bar right around the corner that you can walk to"
"Nice quiet campground. Been here 3 months now. no one has bothered me. Has spacious lots with easy pull thru. Plenty of trees for shade"
"This campground is one of the best I've stayed at, and I have heard the same from many others who are here full-time. I am only leaving because I need to be closer to my job in order to go back to work in-person. I am sad to go. Management: The owner is reasonable, down to earth, and cares about the campground while respecting the autonomy and privacy of each individual camper. The manager Amey is a very hard working sweetheart who is on top of her game. She remembers campers' names and site numbers, which is a small thing that makes a big difference in making the culture of the place friendly and less anonymous. Some campers are also 'workampers' who are able to make a few extra dollars helping out around the property. This reflects management's practical, helpful, down-to-earth attitude. Site rent and electric are at approximately market rate. Culture: The campground has a friendly but boundary-respecting vibe: the neighbors will always wave, but they won't drop by unannounced. There is racial, age, and economic diversity here and it makes the place feel more cosmopolitan than you'd expect for a rural campground. As with all groups of people some individuals thrive on creating toxic drama but here, there are so many wholesome people that the drama-creators stick out like sore thumbs. They are also few in number. Amenities: The standard campground amenities are present: laundry, showers, rec area, etc. As of this review they are working on creating an additional pond that is blockaded from the main pond, providing a place to get in the water without having to worry about typical Georgia pond wildlife. There is a campground-owned bar and lounge called Ray's Place that is right at the front of the campground property, open to the public and has carry-out beer and a back patio. There is a camp lounge which is air conditioned and has some games, couches, and a place to hang out. I did not use the shower facilities but they appeared clean. Infrastructure: The water is high quality and does not have any odor. The water pressure is good and consistently stable at 60 psi. Most sites have only a 50 amp hookup so you'd need to get an adapter if your rig is 30 amp, but some sites have outlets for both. All sites have sewer. The sewer does not leak out odors. The WiFi is stable and strong. As a testament to the owner's commitment to camper satisfaction, he ran a hard-wire ethernet line to my site because I do my work via telehealth and needed to make sure the connection was entirely secure. The roads are packed gravel, and the site pads are loose gravel. My site was so level that I didn't need to manually level either side of my trailer at all. Setting: Most of the sites are wooded with lots of long-needle Georgia pines. This is a huge advantage in summer because your AC won't have to run constantly, and it gives the place a natural feel. The grounds are well maintained and clean. My Starlink internet did not work due to the tree cover. My site was at the very back of the property, on the other side is hundreds of acres of unspoiled wilderness. I did not encounter anything but a few stray cats. The site I was on, C-13, is a crown jewel: stone patio, landscaped, spacious, neighbors on only one side. Other sites are not as opulent but still spacious especially for an RV park this size. In all my 30 years of camping, this was the coolest campsite I've had to date. Dollar General is 1/2 mile down the road. Metter downtown is about 6 miles and has groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, etc. Access to I-16 is 4 miles south of the campground. Overall: Excellent. Highly recommended especially for medium to long term stays. It is clean, safe, affordable, and quiet. Management's hard work and commitment is paying off in that people here are generally happy and many have said this is their favorite campground."
