"Very fun for me and my 7 year old grandson."
"The fact that there were slaves there and were more than likely treated like animals is DISGUSTING and for the people that step foot on their soil is even more DISGUSTING. People are sick and that sad."
"This is such a beautiful spot in Gwinnett County! Well kept up by GC and their volunteers, there is a lot of history to explore! There are little museums like the school house and the barn. There is also a blacksmith who has some beautiful pieces on display! In the middle of the site is a stage that was just dedicated to Betty Warbington, a big volunteer that helps run the place. There is a public bathroom to the side, which is very helpful when you're staying for a while! The Elisha Winn House is a museum itself, with staged bedroom settings with historical information about the family in different rooms. It is all very informative and pretty cool to step back in time and learn about Gwinnett's historical family! This site is a perfect location for weddings and private events! Parking is a little tricky as we had to go to the lot across the street. I'm not sure if this is how it normally is but for today, we had to cross the street, which is a pretty busy road. The police were there to direct traffic, but if this is how it typically is, then please be careful! All in all, this is a gorgeous gem in Gwinneyy County and if you have the chance to walk around, I highly recommend it!"
"This place is a beautiful, yet somber and haunting location, as all plantations are in the South. It is the oldest building in Gwinnett County and the location of some firsts in the history of enslaved people in the county. Here is where Isham -- a six year old boy -- was auctioned, marking this place as the the first enslaved person sold in Gwinnett county. The (now demoloished) jail is also where the first execution by trial in Gwinnett County took place, the convicted being one of the men under Mr. Winn's enslavement."
"Wonderful historic buildings. Polite and knowledgeable staff."
