Grocery Place Campground
Grocery Place Campground is a peaceful retreat located in Naples, Florida, United States. Situated within the beautiful Collier-Seminole State Park, guests can enjoy a unique blend of temperate and tropical plant communities, as well as a wide variety of wildlife, including several imperiled species. Effective April 3, 2023, visitors can explore the Prairie Hammock Trail, Flatwoods Trail, and river trail, as the Royal Palm Hammock Nature Trail and Strand Swamp Trail are closed for repairs and maintenance. The park is home to one of the three original stands of royal palm in Florida, as well as the last existing Bay City Walking Dredge, a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark.
Carpenter Camp
Carpenter Camp is a campground located along the Florida Trail in the beautiful Big Cypress National Preserve in Ochopee, Florida. This campground offers free primitive camping for those looking to experience the backcountry of the preserve. Visitors can pitch their tents at least a half mile away from developed areas and enjoy the natural surroundings. There are designated backcountry campsites along the Florida Trail for hikers, but campers are also free to camp anywhere as long as they follow the rules. Each person is limited to 30 days of backcountry camping per year, and camping gear must not be left unattended unless during the hunting season.
