"The rooms desperately need renovating - the carpet in our room smelled like a wet dog - pet rooms shouldn't be carpeted. There were fingernail clippings on the floor in between our bed and side table! The lobby, lounge, workout and breakfast areas were nice but overall we were disappointed due to the condition of our room."
"No real complaints other than zero breakfast as we were promised at check in. Needed a place to stay overnight on a trip and this place fit the bill. The facility was adequate, but if one is picky, the carpet on the second floor has runs in it. That's nitpicky. Coming from central time, we overslept an hour and made breakfast at 0820 and they had already ran out of eggs and biscuits. All that was left was a bunch of gravy for zero biscuits and maybe 5 or 6 sausage patties. They said they had a pretty good run at the buffet but they'd have some more out shortly. When we finally loaded up the vehicle to depart at 0900, there still wasn't anything else out. I believe they put out what they were going to and that was that. Shouldn't have promised something they weren't going to do."
"With using a Do Not Disturb door handle my room had been entered by cleaning staff along with a sentimental item was taken from my room. I notified front desk immediately, wrote a statement and NEVER received a follow up from a manager or any higher up. I have been thinking about filing a police report because it’s unfortunate to those who travel from out of state to worry about their safety of security being taken away soon as our backs are turned. The very small few staff who recognized my frustration could not assist with the issue and due to that it has and is remained unresolved. The parking lot is dark and directly across from the highway! Which is a little convenient although if you are traveling alone as the hotel does have Human Trafficking placards placed. As it can be an area that lacks security and anything can take place. I would suggest better lighting inside and outside the vicinity including cameras being placed if any. I was by front desk there are “no cameras” along the floors when asking about if they could see anyone who entered my room. The room was clean upon check in and again I did not want the staff entering anymore especially after my bed/bathroom was made and clean along with my item missing. The tub fills up as your showering which can be annoying as well as the water is on the hard side. The laundry room remains OUT OF ORDER because the hotel does not “own” the washer(s)/dryer(s). Breakfast will remain the same everyday with minimal refreshes throughout the week. Very basic. I am a Gold Elite member who prefers to stay at IHG locations. I hope this location takes this review seriously as I saw another hotel is being completed across the street. BE WARY OF STAYING HERE!"
"I choose this hotel for convenience. I needed a place to sleep, as I was coming to do some night shift work for a couple days at the hospital from out of town. Check in was as expected. I mean the person checking in had a temporary sticker name tag and lacked basic hospitality skills but whatever. I did find it interesting that the carpet is uneven on the floor in the hallway to my room. Is that damage?? Poor installation?? The room was nice enough. Seemed clean. Yes I notice water damage in shower that’s been attempted to just be painted over and paint is peeling away in the shower. Warm water and nice pressure in shower. The next morning after working night shift clearly walking in with scrubs I greet the staff member at 5 am as I walk up to my room hoping to sleep for several hours before my next shift. First issue was my key which did not work, I came down 1st time because key did not work. INTERESTINGLY, she did not ask for my ID, although I gave my name and room number HOWEVER there have been people who can give information about a room and get a key to your room. SO THIS HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SECURITY, be aware! Also something is wrong with their key machine because it took her trying about 15 keys to get one to program. After going back and getting ready for bed and pulling sheets down I find multiple LONG DARK HAIR in the sheets. Now I have a short pixie cut so these were not my hairs. I brought these down to desk. The front desk person was short and was not apologetic but just basically said: what do you want me to do about it? I asked her if the sheets were cleaned and she said you obviously know the answer. I told her that I did not know the answer and asked her what was the policy? Her response was: well what do you want me to do about it? SHE NEVER answered regarding hotel policy to change sheets. I was so tired and just wanted to get to bed after having such a long day and traveling. There was no king beds available, and therefore I was downgraded and placed into a different room. When I went up to the new room that key did not work. I had to come back down and get a new key. When I went back to the old room in order to get my stuff, that key did not work because she had checked me out of that room, and I had to go back and get a key. So at this point, I have been up and down the elevator about five times I then had to pack all of my stuff out of my room and move over to another room on the other side of the hall. Finally after about an hour and a half of back-and-forth I lay down in my bed and was finally able to try and get rest. Three hours later, I was awakened by loud construction and beeping, I had no rest at this hotel just STRESS. I did go down and speak to the manager and was given a refund. I packed my stuff and left desperately trying to find a place for reprieve before my next midnight shift. Would I recommend this place, hell no. EDIT: I later found a charge on my credit card and had to call the hotel back. After the manager refunded me the money and I checked out, I was still charged for the remainder of my stay. What a pain! This was eventually refunded, rightfully so since I was left suddenly trying to find a place to sleep in the middle of my travels while trying to work 3rd shift."
