Welcome to Lakes Regional Library, a cornerstone of community learning and exploration in Fort Myers, Florida. Conveniently located at 15290 Bass Road, our library serves as a vibrant hub for readers and learners of all ages. Originally opened as the Rutenberg Library in 1991, we became the 9th branch of the Lee County Library System. In 2005, we moved into a larger facility and proudly adopted the name Lakes Regional Library. Our library underwent a significant transformation in 2020, thanks to a generous donation from the Frances Prigmore estate. This gift allowed us to enhance our space with new community study rooms, an expanded and enclosed teen section, and a designated area for “tweens.” These improvements reflect our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
