Little Manatee River State Park North Trail Head
Little Manatee River State Park North Trail Head is a hidden gem located at 17837 U.S. 301 in Wimauma, Florida. This park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, and camping. Visitors can explore the rare ecosystems of sand pine and oak scrub, as well as oxbow wetlands along the 4.5-mile stretch of the Little Manatee River within the park. The park features a 6.5-mile hiking trail loop in the wilderness area, as well as a 1-mile Oxbow Nature Trail that offers scenic views of the river and wetlands. Equestrians and hikers can enjoy over 15 miles of shared-use trails that meander through the southern half of the park, including the Dude Lake Trail that passes through pine flatwoods and goldenrod fields.
