As a Checkmat Black Belt with two decades of experience, he is serious yet approachable - particularly when teaching beginners and children. He is what you’d imagine when you think of a “Mr.Miyagi” in real life, caring equally as much about his students as friends, as he cares about their BJJ progression :) Alberto won competitions around the world, building his life around traveling, training, and teaching as a serious practitioner. Now, he has put up a flag to rally a team and set up a permanent HQ. I’ve been doing martial arts for over a decade including 3 years of wrestling and 4 years of Muay Thai under world-renowned coaches like Jongsanan Woodenman.
