The board, consisting of five members, meets monthly to discuss new ideas, solve problems, and assist in the establishment of goals and budgets for leisure time programs and facilities in the community. One of the highlights of the complex is the Hendry LaBelle Nature Park, a nature trail located in the heart of the city near the Caloosahatchee River. Visitors are welcome to attend the board meetings, held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at the Hendry-LaBelle Recreation office.
