Ocean First, located at 51 Shoreland Drive in Key Largo, Florida, is a unique institution that serves as a school, store, and travel agency all in one. Our mission is to create and support a community of ocean enthusiasts who are dedicated to experiencing and preserving our marine environments. At Ocean First, we offer a variety of programs and services for all ages, including swim lessons, summer swim camps, and social events with guest speakers in sustainability, biology, and travel. Our store carries a wide range of products for outdoor activities, and we also offer the option to make purchases over the phone and have them shipped directly to your door.

MarineLab is an educational institution located at 51 Shoreland Drive in Key Largo, Florida, United States. Students from grades 5 through college can spend up to five days at our coastal campus, exploring the seagrass, mangrove, and coral reef habitats with mask, fins, and snorkel. Our STEM field trips offer both standard and advanced options, providing a hands-on learning experience. For those unable to visit in person, we offer five different LIVE virtual marine science sessions led by our instructors, as well as free learning resources for classrooms. We also host marine science snorkeling summer camps, free Family Days, and STEM teacher professional development workshops. Scholarships are available for Florida Title I teachers to attend workshops through the Art Mitchell Memorial Fund.
