The FAU Dania Beach Research Center, also known as SeaTech, is located at 101 North Beach Road in Dania Beach, Florida. Situated on eight acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, the center has valuable access to the ocean and seawater for research purposes. Established in 1997 as the nation's first ocean engineering program, FAU Dania Beach is a state-funded Type II research center that is part of FAU's Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering. The center is home to a team of world-class faculty members, engineers, technicians, and students who are engaged in federally and industry-sponsored ocean engineering research and technology development.

Florida Atlantic University-SeaTech is an institute located at 101 North Beach Road in Dania Beach, Florida. The institute's team of faculty, graduate students, engineers, and technicians work on federally and industry-sponsored projects in areas such as ocean engineering. SeaTech partners with the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division and its South Florida Testing Facility to conduct in-water test and evaluation capabilities for underwater systems.
