Founded by Tera and Jose Lemus, who met in Orange County, CA as teenagers, the restaurant offers delicious Mexican cuisine with a Southern California twist. After starting out selling homemade salsas at local farmer's markets, Tera and Jose opened their first restaurant in Canonsburg, PA in 2008. They quickly became the #1 Mexican restaurant in Washington County and a top contender in Pittsburgh. In 2015, the family fell in love with Anna Maria Island and decided to make it their new home, opening a new location in March 2022.

Cool Beans A.M.I. is a cafe and store located at 101 South Bay Boulevard in Anna Maria, Florida. Our coffee, beverages, and products are made with the highest quality ingredients, including a blend of organic and fair trade beans from Ethiopia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala. Our light brown micro roast is gentle on the stomach and we work closely with a small micro roaster in San Francisco to ensure quality control of every batch. We use top-of-the-line espresso machines and grinders from Italy, and all water used in our coffee shop is filtered through reverse osmosis for a superior taste. We offer organic whole, skim, or oat milk, as well as vegan alternatives like oat, almond, and coconut. Our beans are sourced from select farmers and roasted to perfection for over 12 years.
