Steven Borrero is a bilingual mental health counselor (English/Spanish) in the Orlando, Florida area. Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, he decided to come to Florida in 1996 to pursue his undergraduate and graduate studies. He completed a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2004. With over 17 years of clinical experience in various settings, including outpatient clinics, crisis intervention, therapeutic foster care, large non-profit organizations, and school mental health programs, Steven has a wide range of experience working with adults, couples, children, adolescents, and families from diverse communities, including LGBTQ individuals and those with HIV. He specializes in areas such as Depression and Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Gender Identity, Behavioral and Discipline Issues, Self-Destructive Behaviors, Complicated Grief Reactions, Anger and Stress Management, Trauma and Abuse, Family and Relationship Issues, Chronic Mental Illness, Couple Conflict, Body Image and Self-Esteem Problems.
